Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location. Move away from working machines and personnel.
Allow only one operator on the machine. Keep all other personnel away from the machine or in the view of the operator.
Engage the parking brake.
Fully retract the counterweight.
Stop the engine.
Remove the floorplate.
Remove the guards over the winches in order to access the combination valve on the hook winch motor.

Disconnect the brake release line from the elbow in the combination valve on the hook winch motor. Use tooling (C1 and C2) to plug the hose. Use tooling (C3) to cap the elbow that is in brake release port (BR) .

Connect tooling (A or B) to pump pressure port (HA) .

Adjust pressure compensator spool (5) on the main hydraulic pump by two full turns clockwise in order to raise the cutoff pressure above the main relief pressure.
Hold adjustment screw (3) and loosen locknut (7). Turn adjustment screw (3) clockwise in order to increase the pressure setting.
Start the engine. Warm the hydraulic oil to a temperature of 65° 3°C (149 ° 5 °F).
Operate the engine at HIGH IDLE.
Move the hook control to the LOWER position.
Check the pressure at tooling (A or B). The pressure at tooling (A or B) should be 33100 700 kPa (4800 100 psi).
If the pressure at tooling (A or B) is not within the specified limits, perform the following adjustment procedure.
After the test is complete or after any adjustments are made, return pressure compensator spool (5) to the original setting.Adjustment Procedure

Hold adjustment screw (8) and loosen locknut (9). Turn adjustment screw (8) clockwise in order to increase the pressure setting. Turn adjustment screw (8) counterclockwise in order to decrease the pressure setting.
