Mapping Surfaces
Use Terrain to update as-built surface files and to swath.Updating Surface Files
The on-board software can update the following as-built surfaces:
Current elevation
Compaction status
Coverage
Material status / ore status
Original elevationThe on-board software only creates as-built surface updates when the blade control system is on and in the active-auto state.Note: When the machine goes out of the active-auto state, the on-board software continues to swath. As-built surface updates are based on the center of the blade on ground.Swathing
The on-board software swaths (reads the data from) the surface at certain places on the machine called swath points. A track-type tractor using Terrain with blade control has the following swath points:Blade tips (lower edge) - The on-board software swaths between the two blade tips, interpolating the height of the blade between the blade tips.Tracks - The on-board software swaths under the tracks.
