Move the machine to a smooth horizontal location.
Place the steering control lever in the NEUTRAL position.
Engage the parking brake.
Fully retract the counterweight.
Stop the engine.
Turn the key to the ON position, but do not start the engine.
Verify that the implement lockout switch is in the UNLOCKED position.
Move the control levers through the full range of travel several times. This process should relieve any pressure that may be present in the implement hydraulic system.
Make sure that the pressure in the entire hydraulic system has been released.

Remove the cover that is in front of the operator counsole. Locate counterweight valve (1), that is below the cover.

Connect Tooling (A) or (B) to pressure tap (CWP) .Test Procedure (Counterweight Relief Valve)
Start the engine. Warm the hydraulic oil to a minimum temperature of 65° C (150° F).
Operate the engine at HIGH IDLE.Note: Do not hold the control lever in the RETRACT position at relief pressure for more than 15 seconds.
Hold the counterweight control lever in the RETRACT position. Check the pressure at Tooling (A) or (B). The pressure at Tooling (A) or (B) should be 20500 350 kPa (2975 50 psi).
If the pressure is not within the specified limit, perform the procedure in "Adjustment Procedure (Counterweight Relief Valve)".Adjustment Procedure (Counterweight Relief Valve)

Loosen locknut (4) while you hold adjustment screw (3) in place.
Turn adjustment screw (3) clockwise in order to increase the pressure setting. Turn adjustment screw (3) counterclockwise in order to decrease the pressure setting.Worksheet
