Tightening sequence
Note: Before assembly, apply 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound to the threads and to the bearing surfaces of the locknuts (1). (1) Tighten the locknut 1 through locknut 12 in the numerical sequence that is shown in Illustration 2 to the torque of 38 5 N m (28 4 lb ft). (2) Lightly lubricate the bore of the O-ring seals at each end of the exhaust manifold with the glycerin. Note: Before assembly, apply 4C-5599 Anti-Seize Compound to the threads and to the bearing surfaces of the taperlock studs (3). (3) Torque for the taperlock studs ... 27 4 N m (239 35 lb in)
