Install two plates (6), each with two bolts (7) and two hard washers (8) .

Install two bracket assemblies (10), each with two bolts (2) and two hard washers (3) .
Install four bracket assemblies (11), each with two bolts (2) and two hard washers (3) .
On large fuel tanks, install four bracket assemblies (12), on small and medium fuel tanks, install two bracket assemblies (12). Each bracket assembly (12) is installed with two bolts (2) and two hard washers (3). Refer to the Illustrations below for examples of the large, medium, and small fuel tanks. Verify bracket location by installing to the blocks already in place on the fuel tank.

All handrail assemblies and guardrail assemblies must be removed from the brackets before the body is lowered.
Prior to installation of guardrails, ensure that the brackets and mounting blocks are in good working order.
Install five handrail groups (1), four guardrail groups (2), one handrail assembly (3), and two guardrail groups (4) onto the available bracket assemblies.Note: Install handrail assembly (3) after hand holds are in place.When the handrail assemblies and guardrail assemblies are in use, insert the handrail assemblies and guardrail assemblies into the available brackets. Refer to Illustration 18.Note: The brackets may require slight adjustments for easy installation and removal of the handrail assemblies.Note: The kickplates on the guardrail groups and handrail assemblies may require slight adjustment.
