Use a suitable lifting device and position stub boom (3) onto the frame of the machine in a vertical position. The weight of stub boom (3) is approximately 682 kg (1504 lb).
Use a suitable lifting device on Tooling (J) and install pin assembly (30). Install bolt (28). The weight of pin assembly (30) is approximately 102 kg (225 lb). Slide the boom to one side until the boom makes contact with the frame. Measure the total clearance between the boom and the frame at the pin bores. The total clearance must not be more than 0.8 mm (0.03 inch). If the total clearance is more than 0.8 mm (0.03 inch), add the correct thickness of shims in order to obtain the necessary clearance. Remove bolt (28) and pin assembly (30) and install shims (31) between stub boom (3) and the frame of the machine. Reinstall pin assembly (30) and bolt (28) .

Position condenser (27) and install the bolts.

Attach a suitable lifting device to fore boom cylinder (21), as shown. Position fore boom cylinder (21) onto stub boom (3). The weight of fore boom cylinder (21) is approximately 250 kg (550 lb). Support the rod end of fore boom cylinder (21) with Tooling (F) .

Use a suitable lifting device to position the pin assembly. Install pin assembly (25) and bolt (24). The weight of pin assembly (25) is approximately 32 kg (70 lb). Slide the fore boom cylinder to one side until the fore boom cylinder makes contact with the stub boom. Measure the total clearance between the stub boom and the fore boom cylinder at the pin bores. The total clearance must not be more than 0.8 mm (0.03 inch). If the total clearance is more than 0.8 mm (0.03 inch), add the correct thickness of shims in order to obtain the necessary clearance. Remove bolt (24) and pin assembly (25) and install shims (26) between stub boom (3) and the fore boom cylinder. Reinstall pin assembly (25) and bolt (24) .

Reinstall struts (23) .

Connect hose assemblies (20) .
Position blocks between the fore boom cylinder and the stub boom. Lower the stub boom onto the blocks.

Position harness assembly (16) and manifold (18) onto the stub boom.
Install bolts (19) into manifold (18). Install tube assemblies (17) and harness assembly (16) .

Position hose assembly (15) and install clamp (14) .

Install grease hose assemblies (13) and clamp (12). Install brackets (10) and (11) .

Position hose assemblies (2) onto the stub boom. Install clamps (9) and bolts (8) .
