Separate the torque converter. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission and Torque Converter - Separate".

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to torque converter assembly (2). Attach Tooling (B) to torque converter assembly (2). The weight of torque converter assembly (2) is approximately 1108 kg (2440 lb).
Rotate torque converter assembly (2) .

Mount torque converter assembly (1) onto Tooling (C). Remove Tooling (B) (not shown) and suitable lifting devices.

Attach Tooling (A) to torque converter assembly (1) .

Remove bolts (2) .

Slightly raise torque converter (1) in order to remove transfer gears (4).
Remove torque converter (1). The weight of torque converter (1) is approximately 532 kg (1173 lb). Place torque converter (1) onto Tooling (B) (not shown).
