The "Event Log" screen allows you to select for display all events, alarm and notice, or alarms only. You may also e-mail the events log to an e-mail address. Which is a useful way to transfer information for remote diagnostics to a qualified Caterpillar technicianNotice Messages - Generated by system errors that are not critical. When this condition exists, the system will not go to Bypass mode. However, a service technician may be required to fix the problem.Note: A "Notice Message" causes the "" banner to display on the touchscreen. The system also emits an audible alarm. These messages are displayed in the "Event Log". The "Event Log" may be accessed from the touchscreen display. The "Event Log" may also be accessed in UPSView.Examples of the events that generate notice messages are in the following list:

Abnormal Thermal ConditionsAlarm Messages - Critical system errors generate "Alarm Messages". When this condition exists, the system has experienced a critical event and operator action is required.Note: An "Alarm Message" will cause the "Alarm" banner to be displayed. The system also emits an audible alarm. These messages are printed to the "Event Log". The "Event Log" may also be accessed in UPSView.– Examples of the events that generate "Alarm Messages" are in the following list:

You can set up e-mail accounts to which the system will send alarms and notices. You can set the mail system up to where the e-mailed event log is never delivered, or delivered monthly, weekly, or daily. You can also set the e-mail system up to send service and caution notifications.To set up or e-mail an event log: From any screen, touch the "Navigation" symbol, to bring up the "Navigation" screen. Note: Depending on current system conditions, "Notice" or "Alarm" status symbols may be displayed, along with the "Navigation" menu.

From the "Navigation" screen, select "e-mail Setup" from the "Navigation" buttons at the right. (Refer to Illustration 2
On the screen that appears, select the e-mail options by touching the desired radio buttons.

Touch the e-mail address line. Refer to Illustration 3. The following screen appears.

Using the virtual keyboard, enter the required characters in the e-mail address.
Select the Right Arrow when you enter the information.
Enter another e-mail address, or return to the Home screen. Exporting Events to a USB Device
To export to a USB device:
Create a folder on your USB storage device tilted "Display_logs".
Connect the USB storage device to the USB port on the front of the SIO cabinet below the touchscreen display.
Select the "Events" symbol to go to the events window.
Touch the "Export Events"
