Rework Procedure
Note: Ensure that all safety information, warnings, and instructions are read and understood before any operation or any maintenance procedures are performed. Refer to the Operation and Maintenance Manual "Safety Section".
Refer to the Service Manual if/as necessary.
Refer to the Operation and Maintenance manual, for your machine, in order to release system pressure.
1. Position the machine on firm level ground, engage park brake, turn off the battery disconnect switch, and leave the machine to cool before proceeding with the remainder of the Rework Procedure.
2. Disassemble four screws (1) on both sides. Remove steering column cover (2). Refer to Image1.2.1.

3. Disassemble the hose connection between hose (3) and elbow on HMU. Then, release the hose twisting. Refer to Image1.3.1.

4. Replace existing 6V-8397 O-Ring Seal (4) with new one. Refer to Image1.4.1.

5. Reassemble the hose and clean dropped oil.
6. Reassemble the cover.
