This Program can only be administered after a failure occurs. The decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS5659" as the Part Number and "7755" as the Group Number. Use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and use "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the July 24, 1999 Service Letter. Changes have been made to the TERMINATION DATE.

The stabilizer cylinders may need to be replaced on certain 416C, 426C and 436C Backhoe Loaders. The stabilizer cylinders fail due to the cylinder head coming off. This is caused by poorly machined threads in the barrel or extremely high pressure in the cylinder due to the lock valve not allowing it to be released. This program is being issued to cover failures until a permanent fix is released.

Replace the damaged parts with current iron and apply the T.I.B. from March 17, 1999 (SMCS of 5105) to both stabilizer cylinders. Use only the cylinder assembly (right or left) that applies to your failure.
