1. Thread rod end (6) on cable assembly (12) to dimension (7) of 10.0 0.5 mm (.39 .02 in).2. Install cable assembly (12) on pedal assembly (4). Assemble bolt (5) to dimension (1) of 9.0 0.5 mm (.35 .02 in), as shown in View A-A. Rod end (6) must not bind.3. Assemble the lower end of cable assembly (12) as shown. Rod end (18) should be threaded on cable to dimension (16) of 10.0 0.5 mm (.39 .02 in).4. Adjust the position of cover (14) to get dimension (17) of 98.0 1.0 mm (3.86 .04 in).5. Depress clutch pedal against stop and measure the change in dimension (17). The change should be 16.0 1.0 mm (.63 .04 in). If the change is not 16.0 1.0 mm (.63 .04 in), loosen bumper nut (3) and adjust bumper (2) until the change in dimension is 16.0 1.0 mm (.63 .04 in). Tighten bumper nut (3) to a torque of 25 7 N m (18 5 lb ft).6. With clutch pedal (4) up against bumper (2), adjust cover (14) to obtain a new dimension (17) of 89.0 1.0 mm (3.50 .04 in). Tighten cover (14).7. Engage rod end (18) with valve link (19).8. Depress clutch pedal (4) against stop. With clutch pedal depressed, turn cover (14) clockwise until it contacts the transmission. Turn cover (14) counterclockwise until the mounting holes line up.9. Attach cover (14) to the transmission, release the clutch pedal, and tighten cable nut (13) to 38 7 N m (28 5 lb ft).
