This machine is equipped with a security system and may not start under certain conditions. Read the following information and know the machine settings. Your Cat Dealer can identify your machine settings.
There are two types of security systems available for this machine. The security systems prevent unauthorized operation of the machine and are a theft deterrent.PIN Code Security System - The monitoring system requires an operator to enter a valid PIN code in order to start the engine.Key Security System - Requires an operator to use a correct key in order to start the engine.When both the PIN code security system and the key security system are enabled, it is possible to use either a correct key or a valid PIN code in order to start the engine. The key security system has priority over the PIN code security system. When a correct key is used for key on, the monitor will allow the engine to be started. When an invalid key is used for key on, the monitor displays the PIN code entry screen until a valid PIN code is entered. With a valid PIN, the monitor will allow the engine to be started. The security system can be programmed to automatically activate at different time periods and will apply to both security systems.
