A     1P-0510     Driver Group     1    Note: Inspect the O-ring seals that were removed from the assembly for wear or damage. If the O-ring seals are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.
Clean all of the components of the pump before assembly. Apply clean oil to the internal components of the pump before assembly.

Use Tooling (A) in order to install bearing sleeves (18) in manifold assembly (1) . Bearing sleeves (18) must be installed to 1.52 0.25 mm (0.0598 0.0098 inch) below surface (X) .
The bearing joints must be 30 degrees from the centerline of manifold assembly (1) , as shown.
Install hollow dowels (19) in manifold assembly (1) . Hollow dowels (19) must protrude to a height of 5.0 0.5 mm (0.197 0.0197 inch) above the outside surface of manifold assembly (1) .

Install driving gear assembly (11) and driven gear assembly (13) to manifold assembly (1) .

Use Tooling (A) in order to install bearing sleeves (17) in cover assembly (10) . Bearing sleeves (17) must be installed to 1.575 mm (0.0620 inch) below surface (Y) .
Install O-ring seals (16) in cover assembly (10) .

Position cover assembly (10) to manifold assembly (1) and over the gear shafts.
Install bolts (15) that secure cover assembly (10) to manifold assembly (1) .

Install O-ring seal (14 ) to cover assembly (10) .
Be sure that driving gear assembly (11) and driven gear assembly (13) are positioned correctly in relation to cover assembly (10) .
Install shaft key (12) to driving gear assembly (11) .

Position pump body (9) to manifold assembly (1) .
Install gears (7) to pump body (9) .
Install hollow dowels (8) to pump body (9) .

Install O-ring seal (6) to cover (5) .

Position cover (5) to manifold assembly (1) .
Install bolts (4) to secure cover (5) to manifold assembly (1) .

Install bolts (3) to manifold assembly (1) .
Install O-ring seals (2) to manifold assembly (1) .End By: Install the transmission oil and scavenge pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Transmission Oil and Scavenge Pump - Install". The information is in this manual.
