Description of Change: A new designed pinion assembly is now used on certain Off-Highway Truck/Tractors. The new design of the pinion assembly improves the lubrication to the spline that results in an increased service life. The previous pinion assembly uses a tooth profile with a spline that has a full radius. The new design uses a tooth profile with a spline that has a flat root.Adaptable To: Replace the previous 104-5351 Pinion As with the new 308-7793 Pinion As on the 784, and the 785 Off-Highway Truck/Tractors. Replace the 104-3934 Pinion As with the new 307-0623 Pinion As on the 789 Off-Highway Truck/Tractor. The new pinion assemblies are direct replacements for the old pinion assemblies.
