ReferenceSpecial Instruction, REHS4737, "Proper Installation of Braided Steel Hoses"Braided steel hoses are used for the turbocharger coolant lines on the engines in the above machines.If a braided steel hose is not installed with the correct technique, the braiding will kink. The kinking occurs when one end of the hose is secured and the hose is allowed to rotate during installation of the other end. The kinking permanently damages the Teflon liner that is inside of the braiding. The flow of fluid is restricted.To avoid damaging the braided steel hoses, use two wrenches for installation of the hoses. One wrench prevents the hose from rotating and twisting. The other wrench tightens the hose fitting.For details, refer to the reference Special Instruction.
