LoadersWeld-on edges improve bucket penetration and help protect bucket structure by adding more wear material to the base edge.
Use the procedure that follows to install 8J8141 and 8J8176 Half Arrow Cutting Edges.
1. Clean the bucket and all parts so they are free of dirt, grease and oil.2. Use an E7018 Electrode to tack weld the half arrow cutting edges in place on the bucket.3. At each cutting edge, preheat a 100 mm (4") radius of the bucket (including the cutting edge) to a surface temperature of 121 10°C. If the surface temperature falls below 93°C (200°F), preheat the parts and bucket again. Use a Tempilstik® to check the temperature of the parts.4. Weld the cutting edge to the bucket. When using multiple welds, remove weld slag after each pass.
