A 138-7575 Link Bracket 2 Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Do not use wiping cloths or rags to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Dirt and other contaminants can damage the precision component. Perform assembly procedures on a clean work surface. Keep components covered and protected always.

Install seal (10) into bearing cover (6).Note: The sealing lip must be facing the inside of bearing cover (6).

Install bearing cover (6), O-ring seal (8), bearing, (7) and spacer (9) to yoke (3). Lubricate O-ring seal (8) with the lubricant being sealed.

Install Tooling A to the front cover.
Attach a suitable lifting device to the front cover. The weight of the front cover assembly is approximately 102 kg (225 lb).
Lower the front cover on to yoke (3).
Install bearing (5) to the front cover.

Install bearing retainer (4) and eight bolts (2). Finger tighten bolts while rotating the front cover.
Rotate the front cover 3 times. Tighten bolts (2) in a criss-cross pattern to a torque of 25 N m (220 lb in).
Use a suitable lifting device and turn over the input drive group.
Ensure bearing cover (6) is not resting on the front cover and is allowed to rotate with yoke (3).

Install five bolts (1).End By:
Connect the input drive to the transmission. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Input Drive to Transmission - Connect".
