Illustration 1 g01303896Magnetic filter (5) and suction screen (4) are inside bevel gear case (1). Oil from the bottom of the bevel gear case flows through inlet passage (6). As the oil flows through screen (4), foreign particles that are in the oil are stopped by the screen and prevented from going into the power train oil system.The oil flows through the screen first. Then, the oil flows through the magnetic filter. The magnets are installed on the tube assembly so that the same magnetic ends are next to each other. Smaller particles that go through the screen are stopped and held by the magnets. The magnets prevent the metal particles from going with the oil through the power train oil system.
