Introduction
Two plates must be transferred from the old part to the new part when the 259-6416 Boom and Bearing As is replace by the 297-8585 Boom and Bearing As .Procedure

Locate two plates (1) on old boom assembly (2) .
Remove the paint from two plates (1) .
Carefully, grind through the existing fillet welds in order to detach the two plates from the old boom.

Dimensions are in millimeters.
If necessary, use a grinder to clean up the two plates. The dimensions of the two plates are shown in Illustration 2.

Mark the locations for the two plates on the new boom. Refer to Illustration 3 for the dimensions.
Remove any paint in the weld area before you weld the plates in place.

Weld the plates to the new boom. Provide 3.0 mm (0.12 inch) fillet welds along the edge of each 12.0 mm (0.47 inch) sides (A) of the plates. Do not weld all four edges.
When the weld area has cooled, remove the weld splatter and paint.
