Information:

View From Under Fuel Tank1. Remove five bolts (1), the washers and cover plate (2) from under the fuel tank.
View From Under Fuel Tank2. Open drain valve (3), and drain the fuel from the fuel tank into a suitable container. The capacity of the fuel tank can range from 290 to 310 liters (77 to 82 U.S. gal).3. Disconnect hose assembly (4) from the fuel valve.4. Remove the four bolts and spacers that hold the fuel tank to the frame of the machine. 5. Disconnect wiring harness (5) from the fuel gauge sending unit. 6. Remove two bolts (6) and the washers from the top of the fuel tank. Swing mirror (7) clear of the fuel tank.
Do not damage the drain valve on the bottom of the fuel tank when it is being removed from the machine.
7. Fasten tool (A) and a hoist to the top of the fuel tank as shown.8. Remove fuel tank (8). The empty weight of the fuel tank is 95 kg (210 lb).9. Put identification marks on the shims used between the fuel tank and the frame of the machine. Remove the shims from the frame of the machine. The following steps are for the installation of the fuel tank.10. Install the shims for the fuel tank in their original position on the frame.
Do not damage the drain valve located on the bottom of the fuel tank when it is being installed on the machine.
11. Fasten tool (A) and a hoist to fuel tank (8). Put it in position on the frame of the machine. Install the four bolts and spacers that hold it.12. Put mirror (7) in position, and install two bolts (6) and the washers.13. Connect wiring harness (5) for the fuel gauge sending unit.14. Connect hose assembly (4) to the fuel valve on the bottom of the fuel tank.15. Reinstall cover plate (2) and the five bolts and washers that hold it.16. Fill the fuel tank with fuel. See the Operation & Maintenance Manual for the correct filling procedure.
