(3) Thickness of one 9M-5874 Shim Pack ... 3.30 mm (0.130 inch) (5) Lubricate the bore of the O-ring seal with the lubricant that is being sealed.Note: The mating surfaces between the differential ring gear (9) and differential group (11) must be free of paint.Note: Before assembly of the differential group (11), assemble the differential ring gear (9) to the housing and ream one hole to the diameter 19.050 0.013 mm (0.7500 0.0005 inch). Use differential ring gear as a guide. Install one bolt (6), one washer (7) and one locknut (8) in the reamed hole. Then, ream the remaining 13 holes to 19.050 0.013 mm (0.7500 0.0005 inch) and install the remaining 13 bolts. (8) Torque for 14 locknuts ... 440 40 N m (325 30 lb ft) (12) Lubricate the sealing lip of the seal assembly lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.Note: Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Differential and Bevel Gear - Adjust" for the adjustment procedure for bevel pinion bearing (13) . (14) As required, use the following shims in order to preload the bevel pinion bearing: Thickness of one 330-7806 Shim ... 0.127 mm (0.0050 inch) Thickness of one 330-7805 Shim ... 0.178 mm (0.0070 inch) (15) Install the O-ring seal after adjusting the bevel pinion bearing.Note: Apply 154-9731 Thread Lock Compound to the threads of the bolts (16) .
