Adaptable To: The new bead seat bands can be used as direct replacements for the former bead seat bands to give the new locking feature. The former bands are canceled. The mounting procedure has not changed. Force the bead seat band and the flange inward until the lockring can be seated in the groove in the rim base.
Do NOT inflate the tire until the lockring is positively retained by the bead seat band extension as shown in the illustration. If the lockring is not positively retained, the flange can loosen suddenly during initial tire inflation and can cause personal injury.
