Remove the oscillating axle.

Position oscillating axle (1) onto suitable cribbing.

Remove bolts (2) and the washers. Use two people in order to remove cover (3) from rear trunnion support (4). The weight of cover (3) is approximately 25 kg (55 lb).

Remove thrust bearing (5) from rear trunnion support (4).

Remove bolts (6) and plate (7) from rear trunnion support (4).

Remove thrust bearing (9) from rear trunnion (10).
Attach a suitable lifting device to rear trunnion support (4). The weight of rear trunnion support (4) is approximately 113 kg (250 lb).
Remove rear trunnion support (4) from trunnion (10).
Attach a suitable lifting device to trunnion (10). The weight of trunnion (10) is approximately 56 kg (123 lb).
Remove bolts (8) and the washers.
Remove trunnion (10).

Remove O-ring seal (11) from rear trunnion support (4).

Use Tooling (A) and a suitable press in order to remove sleeve bearing (12) from the back of rear trunnion support (4). Installation Procedure
Install rear trunnion support (4) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (B) to sleeve bearing (12) and O-ring seal (11).
Apply Tooling (B) to thrust bearing (9) and to thrust bearing (5).
Apply Tooling (C) to the mating surfaces of rear trunnion support (4) and cover (3).
Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 210 40 N m (155 30 lb ft) plus an additional 120° 10°.
