Weld wear plates using the following information:
All wear plates are spaced 40 mm (1.57 inch) apart to allow weld gun access between the wear plates.
Bottom wear plates are 25 mm (0.98 inch) from the bottom edge of the moldboard.
Top wear plates are 16 mm (0.63 inch) from the top edge of the moldboard.
Wing wear plates are 25 mm (0.98 inch) from the side plates. The welds between the wing moldboards and the side plates will form a 14 mm (0.55 inch) deep bevel groove for welding the outer edges of the wing wear plates.
All other welds are 14 mm (0.55 inch) fillet welds all around each wear plate. 9W-7041 Extended Wear Life Cutting Edge Gp

The 9W-7041 Extended Wear Life Bit and Cutting Edge Gp is recommended to protect the lower edges of the wear plates. The extended wear life cutting edges are 10 mm (0.39 inch) thicker than the standard cutting edges.

Weld on 232-2077 Segment Edges (A) provide the following:
The segments protect 1150 mm (45.28 inch) of the height of the side plates, and protrude outwards 180 mm (7.09 inch).
The segments have half arrow edges to improve the cutting performance into the wall or slot.
Place the segment edges mated against front edges of the side plates and against the outer surfaces of the side plates. Refer To Illustration 27 and 28.

Fill bevel (B) with weld to cover 30 mm (1.2 inch) of the side plate thickness. Refer to Illustration 29.
The remaining thickness of the side plates can be covered with a fillet weld applied over the bevel weld.
Any wear or degradation to the existing side plate can be covered by the segment edge. Any remaining gaps can be filled with weld.
