Make sure the machine is on level ground. Stop the engine and move the control lever to make sure the weight of the bulldozer blade is on the ground. Move the control lever backward and forward to release the pressure in the hydraulic system. Slowly loosen the cap to release any pressure in the hydraulic tank. Let the hydraulic oil become cool before any lines are disconnected in the hydraulic system.
Put plugs or caps on all lines so foreign material and moisture do not get in the hydraulic system.
1. Remove four nuts and bolts (1) and cap and shims (2) from each side. Keep the shims and caps with the lift cylinder rods from which they were removed. 2. Fasten brackets (3) on the lift cylinders to the radiator guard.3. Start the engine and move the lift cylinder rods into the lift cylinder. Secure the rods with a nylon rope. It may be necessary to unbolt the left lift cylinder bolts from the radiator guard for access to remove the tilt cylinder hose assemblies.4. Disconnect two tilt cylinder hose assemblies (4). Put covers for protection over the hydraulic line openings. Fasten the lift cylinder bracket to the radiator guard if it was removed. 5. Install Tool (A) to tag link (7) as shown.6. Attach Tool (B) as shown. Attach the top end of Tool (B) to the lift cylinder yoke.7. Remove four nuts and bolts (5) and cap and shims (6).
Do not remove the hoist from tag link (7).
8. Put blocks in position beneath the push arms. Remove the caps from the push arms. 9. Start the engine and carefully back the machine away from the bulldozer push arms (X) approximately 15.24 cm (6 in). Carefully move the front of the machine to the left enough to permit the tag link to be lowered to the floor.10. Remove Tooling (B), carefully move the machine away from the bulldozer.Install Bulldozer
1. Clean and inspect all parts. Make a replacement of the parts that are worn or damaged. 2. Put blocks under push arms (1) until the center of the bearings are approximately 85 cm (33.5 in) from the ground (distance X). 3. Slowly move the machine into position between the push arms (1) until the trunnions are approximately 15.24 cm (6 in) from the push arm bearings (distance Y). 4. Attach Tooling (A) and (B) to tag link (2). Attach the top end of Tool (B) to the lift cylinder yoke.5. Raise the tag link up into position. 6. Move the machine forward and to the right to engage the tag link bearing with the trunnion.7. Install cap and shims (4) and bolts and nuts (3).8. Remove Tooling (A) and (B). It may be necessary to install cap and shims (4) and bolts and nuts (3) loosely and tighten when machine is in position with the push arms. 9. Slowly move the machine forward until the trunnions are in position in the push arm bearings. Install caps (5) and
