Illustration 1. Location of manual fuel shutoff components for Challenger 65C and 70C Agricultural Tractors. (A) To sump tank. (B) To strainer inlet. Install the new manual fuel shutoff components as follows.
1. Shutoff fuel supply at bottom of fuel tank.2. Cut the hose that is connected to inlet port of the strainer 228 3 mm (9.0 .1 in) from the end inlet port fitting as shown in the illustration.3. Install coupling (4) on each of the ends of the hose that was cut in Step 2.4. Remove existing hardware as required to install bracket assembly (3) as shown.5. Install the remainder of the components of the group as shown. Connect the fuel supply hose to elbow (11). Connect the hose from the strainer inlet to connector (10).6. Turn fuel valve on at bottom of the fuel tank.Illustration 2 and Chart B show and list the manual fuel shutoff components required for Challenger 75C and 85C Agricultural Tractors equipped with the (3176) engine.

1. Shutoff fuel supply at bottom of fuel tank.2. Disconnect the fuel supply hose (4) from elbow (3) going into the primary filter (5).3. Remove 6V-8722 elbow (3)and 3K-0360 seal (2) from the primary filter (5).4. Install 8T-6723 valve (1) and 3K-0360 seal (2) into the primary filter (5). Torque to 50 7 N m (37 5 lb ft).5. Reinstall 6V-8722 elbow (3) and seal 3K-0360 (2) into valve (1).6. Connect fuel supply hose (4) to elbow (3).7. Turn fuel valve on at bottom of the fuel tank.
