This Program must be administered as soon as possible. When reporting the repair, use "PI3066" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description Code. Exception: If the repair is done after failure, use "PI3066" as the Part Number, "7751" as the Group Number, "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code.
This Revised Service Letter replaces the September 20, 1997 Service Letter. Changes have been made to Problem and the Rework Procedure.

The 4 ports for the brake bleed valves (service brake and parking brake) in the 5T2993 Spindle Housing on certain 769D and 771D Trucks have been machined oversize and will not accept the normal 6G3422 Adapter.

1 - 5T2993 Housing-Spindle (Maximum of 1 per dealership) - (do not order before inspection)Only those dealers who find one of these spindle housings which DO NOT meet the specifications on a truck within their territory, will be allowed or credited one (1) 5T2993 Spindle Housing. This spindle housing will allow the dealer to rework one wheel station and salvage, rework, and exchange the component.
