Loosen bolt (7). Rotate the idler away from the engine in order to remove V-belt (8) from the refrigerant compressor.

Remove two bolts (9) and the washers that secure guard (10) to the refrigerant compressor.

Remove bolt (11) and the washer that secures guard (10) to the refrigerant compressor. Remove guard (10) from the refrigerant compressor. Remove the V-belt from the refrigerant compressor.

Remove bolt (13) and the washers that secure bracket (14) to the mounting bracket. Remove bolt (15) and the washer that secures bracket (14) to the mounting bracket.

Remove bolt (16), the washer and the nut that secures bracket (17) to the mounting bracket. Remove refrigerant compressor (2) from the engine.Installation Procedure
Note: Verify that all of the components of the refrigerant compressor are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.Note: Check all of the O-ring seals and the components for wear or damage. Replace the components, if necessary.Note: Lubricate all of the O-ring seals lightly with the appropriate lubricant.

Install refrigerant compressor (2) to the engine. Install bolt (16), the washer and the nut that secures bracket (17) to the mounting bracket.

Install bolt (15) and the washer that secures bracket (14) to the mounting bracket. Install bolt (13) and the washers that secure bracket (14) to the mounting bracket.

Install the V-belt to the refrigerant compressor. Install guard (10) to the refrigerant compressor. Install bolt (11) and the washer that secures guard (10) to the refrigerant compressor.

Install two bolts (9) and the washers that secure guard (10) to the refrigerant compressor.

Rotate the idler toward the engine in order to install V-belt (8) to the refrigerant compressor. Adjust the tension of the V-belt. Refer to Specifications, "Belt Tension Chart" for the correct belt tension. Tighten bolt (7).

Connect two hose assemblies (5) and (6) to refrigerant compressor (2) .

Connect wire harness (3) at electrical connection (4) .

Connect wire harness (1) to refrigerant compressor (2) at the electrical connection.
Evacuate the air conditioning system. Refer to Air Conditioning and Heating, Testing and Adjusting, SENR5664, "Refrigerant System - Evacuate".
Charge the air conditioning system. Refer to Air Conditioning and Heating, Testing and Adjusting, SENR5664, "Refrigerant System - Charge".
