Remove bearing races (31) and (32) from the wheel.

Attach a suitable lifting device to wheel (30). Place wheel (30), as shown. Remove Duo-Cone seal (33) from wheel (30) .

Remove Duo-Cone seal (34) from wheel (30) .

Remove Duo-Cone seal (35) from housing (36) .

Use two persons to remove roller bearing (37) from spindle (38) .

Use two persons to remove spacer (39) from spindle (38) .

Remove Duo-Cone seal (40) from spindle (38) .

Attach a suitable lifting device to the spindle. Place the spindle on two suitable stands, as shown.

Remove the remaining bolts (1) and the washers that secure spindle (38) to the housing.

Note: Place alignment marks on the spindle and the housing for assembly purposes.
Attach Tooling (F) and a suitable lifting device to spindle (38). Remove spindle (38) and the O-ring seal from the housing. The weight of spindle (38) is approximately 1124 kg (2478 lb). Remove Tooling (F) and the suitable lifting device from spindle (38) .

Remove springs (41) from the housing.

Remove friction discs (42) and plates (43) from the housing.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to piston (44). Remove piston (44) from the housing. The weight of piston (44) is approximately 94 kg (207 lb). Remove Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device from piston (44) .

Remove seal rings (45) and (46) from piston (44) .
