Assembly Procedure
Inspect all parts and clean all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement. Note: Lubricate all pistons and all seals with clean hydraulic oil prior to installation.

Install O-ring (17) and backup ring (16) onto piston (15).

Install four pistons (14) into the cover.
Install brake lever (13) into position.

Install flange (11) and O-ring (12) into position.

Install spacer (9) and four socket head bolts (10).

Install lever (8). Align the marks that were made during the disassembly.

Install screw (7). Note: Steps 4 through 8 are used on service and parking brakes for the front axle.

Install ten brake discs (6) into position. Align the oil holes in the brake discs. Note: Each service and parking brake for the TH62 rear axle only contains eight discs.
Install three springs (5).

Install pressure plate (3) into position. Install three bolts (2), the three washers and the nuts.
Install two pushers (4). Note: The two pushers (4) are used on the service and parking brakes for the front axle.End By:
Adjust the brake pack. Refer to Testing and Adjusting, "Service Brake - Adjust".
Install the service and parking brake. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Service and Parking Brake - Install".
