It is possible for the frame of the harvester head to fall when parked in the vertical position. To avoid personal injury or death and equipment damage, fasten the safety chain to the frame and the felling link. Secure the chain in an appropriate manner.
Position the harvester head in a vertical position in order to inspect the cutting edge. Open the knives.

Harvester HeadSecure the harvester head in the VERTICAL position. Install the safety device (chain) to the harvester head and the felling link. Use the safety device (chain) in order to prevent the harvester head from falling if a hydraulic cylinder fails.The cutting edges require minimal maintenance under normal operating conditions. The cutting edges should be inspected for signs of wear and for signs of fatigue.
