Remove three bolts (A) and three washers (B) from the top guide tube. Save the parts.

Install plate assembly (1) using three bolts (A) and three washers (B) which were saved in Step 3.
Tighten the three bolts (A) to 460 60 N m (339 44 lb ft). Before assembly, apply Anti-seize to the threads.

Remove the old cover (D) using six bolts (C). Save the bolts.
Install plate assembly (2) to the outermost extension frame using four bolts (3) and four washers (4).
Tighten the four bolts (3) to 240 40 N m (177 30 lb ft).

Install the new extension cover (5) on bolt on extensions using six bolts (C) which were saved in Step 6.

Paste the film (6) and film (7) on to the new cover assembly as shown in Illustration 15.

Install ball joint (8) and ball joint (11) to the tube assembly (9), and install the lock nuts (10) on the far end of the brace as shown in Illustration 16.Note: Do not tighten the lock nut (10).

Install the above subassembly to the extension assembly with the help of pin (13).
Secure the pin (13) using the lock pins (12) on both sides as shown in Illustration 17.

Use tube assembly (9) to set flatness at locations (D) and (E).Note: The area between (D) and (E) is where the extension comes into contact with the extender.
Place a stringline and two spacers of the same thickness across the trailing edge of the screed extender plates and extension plates. Gauge the distance from the stringline with a spacer of the same thickness as used to support the stringline.
Use tube assembly (9) to either raise the end of the extension or to lower the end of the extension. Tighten the lock nut (10) in the tube assembly (9).

The final assembly is shown in Illustration 19 and Illustration 20.
Repeat the Step 1 to Step 16 to install the support group on the left-side.Note: The mounting groups 553-2623 Plate As (14) and 553-2628 Cover (15) for the left-side will be a change for the Illustration12 and Illustration 14.
Install end gate from the extender. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly , UENR3147 , "End Gate - Remove and Install".
