Measure the diameter of upper bore (2) of 207-3686 Boom Sheave Block Group . The inside diameter of upper bore (2) should be 64.29 + 0.41 − 0.08 mm (2.531 + 0.016 − 0.003 inch).
308-0680 Sleeve Kit (1) contains four sleeves that are progressively larger in the outside diameter. The actual dimensions of the bore will determine the sleeves that need to be used. This bore may need to be oversized in order to alleviate an elongated bore. If the bore size must exceed 71.04 mm (2.797 inch), please contact your product support analyst.
Determine the sleeve that is appropriate for the bore size.
Install the sleeve into bore (2) of the upper boom sheave block.Note: The sleeve has a slight press fit to the bore size.
Stake the interface between the sleeve and the upper boom sheave block in three places on each end in order to reduce the possibility of movement of the installed sleeve.
Personal injury or death can result from fumes, gases and ultraviolet rays from the weld arc.Welding can cause fumes, burn skin and produce ultraviolet rays.Keep your head out of the fumes. Use ventilation, exhaust at the arc, or both, to keep fumes and gases from your breathing area. Wear eye, ear and body protection before working.Protect yourself and others; read and understand this warning. Fumes and gases can be dangerous to your health. Ultraviolet rays from the weld arc can injure eyes and burn skin. Electric shock can cause death.Read and understand the manufacturer's instructions and your employer's safety practices. Do not touch live electrical parts.

(3) Weld area (A) 45° angle
If the staking is not sufficient, an alternate method of tack welding the sleeve is shown in Illustration 2.
Grind area (3) approximately 6.4 mm (0.25 inch) wide and 4.8 mm (0.19 inch) deep in two places on each face.
Preheat weld areas (3) to 149 °C (300 °F) in four places.
