Removal Procedure
Start By:
Remove the right side engine side guard.
Remove the front bottom guard.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.

Disconnect hose assemblies (3).
Remove bolts (4). Disconnect the oil return line and remove the gasket.
Remove banjo bolt (1). Disconnect the oil supply line and remove the seals.
Remove nuts (2).
Remove turbocharger (5) and the gasket.
If required, remove the mounting studs.Installation Procedure
Install turbocharger (5) in the reverse order of removal.
If the mounting studs were removed, tighten the mounting studs to a torque of 18 N m (159 lb in).
Tighten nuts (2) to a torque of 44 N m (32 lb ft).
Tighten banjo bolt (1) to a torque of 22 N m (195 lb in).
Tighten bolts (4) to a torque of 22 N m (195 lb in).
