the ripper tip is worn close to the shank, replace the ripper tip. If the tip is too blunt, the tip will not penetrate properly.
Raise the ripper to the minimum height that allows the ripper tips to be removed. Place mechanical blocking under the ripper. Lower the ripper onto the blocking.
Engage the parking brake.
Activate the hydraulic lockout switch to the LOCKED position.
Stop the engine.
If the ripper tip is worn, drive out the pin. Remove the tip and the shank pin retainer.
Clean the shank pin retainer and the pin.
Install the new tip and the retainer.
Install the pin from the opposite side of the retainer.
Start the engine.
UNLOCK the hydraulic control switch.
Raise the ripper and remove the mechanical blocking.
Lower the ripper to the ground.
