Illustration 4 g00738815
Place the alternator drive pulley (11) in position on the alternator and install the washer (10) and nut (9). Tighten the nut (8) to the following torque 102 7 N m (75 5 lb ft).
Illustration 5 g00738705
Install the alternator (5) and the alternator fan guard (6) in the reverse order of removal. Install the two alternator mounting bolts (8). Install the bolt and nut (3) that attaches the adjusting rod to the alternator (6).
Replace the three wires (4) and (5) to the terminals on the alternator (6). Torque the output terminal nut (5) to 14 1 N m (125 9 lb in).
Reinstall the V-belts. Adjust the tension on the alternator V-belt to the engine specification. Torque the nut (2) for the adjusting rod to 150 20 N m (110 15 lb ft). Tighten the two bolts (8). Tighten the bolt and nut (3) .Reference: Refer to the Service Manual module Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Service Every 250 Hours or Monthly" for the machine that is being serviced.
