start by:a) remove bucket cylinderb) remove stick cylinder 1. Put cylinder in position on tool (A).2. Remove four bolts from tube (1) on rod end of cylinder. Slowly extend the rod from the cylinder to let the oil run out. 3. Install support (4) under rod and fasten strap (3) to hold rod on support.4. Remove bolts from the head. Remove rod and head from the cylinder. 5. Remove bolt (2) from rod with tooling (B).6. Remove stop (5) from the rod. 7. Remove nut (6) from rod with tooling (C). 8. Remove piston (7) from the rod. 9. Remove wear ring (8) and seal assembly (9) from piston. 10. Install two bolts (10) 1"-8 NC ten inches long through the head and into cylinder. Move rod out of head.11. Install two 1/2"-13 NC forged eyebolts (11) in head. Fasten a hoist and remove head.12. Remove seals from inside of the head. 13. Remove seal (12) from outside of head.14. Inspect seals and install new seals as needed.Assemble Bucket And Stick Cylinders
1. Install the seals in the head. Install outer seal (1) with the sealing edge toward the outside. Install center seal (2) with sealing edge toward the inside. 2. Put head (3) into position on cylinder. Install two bolts (4) 1"-8 NC ten inches long to hold the head in place.3. Put hydraulic oil on the seals in the head and on the rod. Make sure the rod is in alignment with head before the rod is installed. Slowly push the rod through the head. Remove bolts (4) and move head back from the cylinder. 4. Install wear ring (5) and seal assembly (6) on piston.5. Install piston and nut (7) on the rod.6. Install tooling (A) and tighten nut on bucket cylinder to 2650 265 lb.ft. (3580 360 N m). Tighten nut on stick cylinder to 500 50 lb.ft. (680 70 N m). On both cylinders, put a mark on the nuts and rods, then tighten the nuts 28° 5° more. 7. Install seal (8) in the stop with the sealing edge toward the nut when installed on the rod. 8. Install stop (10) on rod with the end that has the taper toward the bolt head as shown. Install bolt (9) [for both cylinders] with tooling (B) to a torque of 750 75 lb.ft. (1020 100 N m). After bolt (9) is tightened, the stop must be free to move .040 .020 in. (1.02 0.51 mm). 9. Install tooling (C) on piston. Install piston into cylinder. Remove tooling (C). 10. Put head into position on the cylinder and install the bolts. The rod must be fully extended when the bolts in head are tightened. This will keep cylinder, piston and head in better alignment. 11. Install bolts in tube (11).12. Remove cylinder from tooling (D).end by:a) install bucket cylinderb) install stick cylinder
