SHIM PACK 1801657 - Caterpillar

Note: Replace the 9T-7204 Air Cylinder with a 113-1824 Air Cylinder (1) in order to make a 113-1543 Parking and Secondary Brake Valve from a 9T-4772 Parking and Secondary Brake Valve. Also, increase the relief pressure to 4690 200 kPa (680 30 psi). Note: Refer to the appropriate Service Manual for your machine in order to verify that the operating pressure of the secondary brake system is correct. When you adjust the new parking brake valve, make sure that the hydraulic oil is at operating temperature. The operating temperature should be 79° 3°C (175° 5°F). Measure the pressure at the rear parking brake port near the rear wheel station with the engine at low idle. If necessary, add shims (6) or remove shims (6) below spring (5) in order to change the pressure.The new 113-1543 Parking and Secondary Brake Valve is adaptable to the machines that are listed in the table that follows. Refer to the notes at the end of the table in order to determine additional parts that are needed for installation.
