Height Adjustment
Using the Air Valve Knob
Illustration 2 g00885887
Illustration 3 g00885857
The height of the seat is determined by the volume of air in air bag (5). To raise the suspension, the operator pushes in air valve knob (3) and air enters air bag (5). To lower the suspension, the operator pulls out air valve knob (3) and the air in air bag (5) is released.Note: The operator must not change the height of the suspension so that the stroke is inadequate for the particular application. The suspension height must be changed if the seat bottoms out excessively or if the seat bounces to the maximum height too much. When air valve knob (3) is pushed in, a 24 volt circuit to compressor (4) is completed. Compressor (4) provides pressurized air to air bag (5) .When air valve knob (3) is pulled out, line (2) from air bag (5) to the exhaust port is opened.Recliner Adjustment
Illustration 4 g00885858
Pull UP in order to release recliner latch (6). Release in order to engage recliner latch (6) .Cushion Tilt Adjustment
Illustration 5 g00885853
Remove bolt (10) and nut (8) from both sides of the seat. Lift cushion (7) to upper hole (9). Install bolt (10) into upper hole (9) on both sides of the seat. Tighten nut (8) on both sides of the seat.Isolation and Weight Adjustment
Illustration 6 g00890868
Air bag (5) acts as a spring as the air is compressed due to the motion of inner scissor arm (11) relative to lower housing (12). The amount of air that is in the air bag is determined by the operator. The pressure in the air bag is determined by the weight of the operator. This provides automatic weight adjustment.Damping Adjustment
Illustration 7 g00890750
Damping is provided by lever (13). Push FORWARD on lever (13) in order to decrease the damping of the suspension. Pull BACK on lever (13) in order to increase the damping of the suspension.Fore and Aft Adjustment
Illustration 8 g00890757
Push lever (14) LEFT in order to disengage the slide latches. Release lever (14) in order to set fore and aft position.Connection to the Seat

Road King Seat
Illustration 11 g00890856
Note: The seat suspension mounts to both the Comfort seat and the Road King seat styles.Right slider track (15) and left slider track (16) connect the seat assembly to the suspension. Rack (17) provides the connection to the fore and aft adjuster on the seat. The suspension has four sliders. The sliders determine the effort that is required to move the seat. After the seat is installed, the sliders require adjustment. The sliders are adjusted from the side of the seat that faces the access door of the machine. Use the following steps in order to adjust the sliders.
Illustration 12 g00885852
The two sliders (19) are located on each side of the suspension (18). The sliders that are located near the access door for the cab have adjustment screws (20) .
Access holes are provided in the sides of the seat assembly. Move the seat until the access holes are in line with the adjustment screws.
