start by:a) remove rear drive shaftb) remove engine crankcase guards (front section only) **This operation location is in the ENGINE DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY section. 1. Put two 50 ton screw jacks (1) under the rear of the machine as shown. 2. Remove bolts (2), retainer (4) and shims. Remove yoke (3), spacer and O-ring seals from the rear differential. 3. Remove bolt (6) that fastens clip (7) and lubrication line to front support. Disconnect lubrication line (5) from fitting at top of front support. 4. Remove the bolts and nuts (8) that hold the front and rear supports to the frame. 5. Install tool (A) on front support as shown. Lift the machine with the screw jacks approximately 43 in. (109.2 cm). Remove front support (9) from the axle housing. Weight of the front support is 220 lb. (99 kg). 6. Remove the bolts (11) that fasten the retainer (10) to the support assembly. 7. Install two 1/2"-13 NC forcing screws (12) in retainer (10) and remove retainer and gasket from the support assembly. 8. Remove bearing (14) from the support assembly. Remove O-ring seal (13) from support. 9. Remove seal (15) from retainer (10). Remove gasket from the retainer.Install Front Support (825C, 826C)
1. Install a new gasket and seal (1) on the retainer (2). Put a small amount of 5P960 Multipurpose Type Grease on the seal. 2. Install bearing (4) in support assembly. Install seal (3). Put a small amount of 5P960 Multipurpose Type Grease on the seal. 3. Install two 3/8"-16 NC guide bolts (5) in the support assembly. Put retainer (2) on the support assembly and install the bolts that hold it. Remove the guide bolts. 4. Fasten support assembly (6) to tool (A) and put the support assembly in position on the axle housing.5. Lower the machine with the two 50 ton screw jacks, then fasten both front and rear support assemblies with the bolt and nuts that hold them. Tighten the nuts to a torque of 840 75 lb.ft. (1140 100 N m). 6. Install spacer, yoke (8), shims, O-ring seals, retainer (7) and bolts (9) on the differential. Tighten the bolts to a torque of 130 15 lb.ft. (175 20 N m). 7. Connect lubrication line (10) to fitting on top of front support.
