Removal Procedure

Park the machine on a flat, level surface. Lower the bucket to the ground. Chock the wheels to keep the machine from rolling when the drive shaft is removed.

Remove bolts (1) and straps (2).
Repeat 2 for opposite end of drive shaft.
Remove bolts (4).
Remove front drive shaft (3).

Remove bolts (6) and strap assemblies (5).
Repeat 6 for opposite end of drive shaft.
Remove center drive shaft (7).

Remove bolts (9) and straps (10).
Repeat 9 for opposite end of drive shaft.
Remove rear drive shaft (8).Installation Procedure
Note: Bearing cap and yoke mounting faces should be wiped clean prior to assembly.
Install drive shafts (3), (7), and (8) in the reverse order of removal.
Snug bolts (1), (6), and (9). Then tighten the bolts in an "X" pattern to a torque of 60 7 N m (44 5 lb ft).
Apply Tooling (A) to the slip splines with the machine fully articulated.
