PROBLEM
The P-clip and tight bend radius on the 184-3232 fuel line hose may cause the hose to wear. The hose material for the 184-3232 hose is not capable of the tight bend needed to eliminate rubbing.

Dear Caterpillar Product Owner:
New 295-7891 fuel line needs to be installed. This new hose has been shortened and utililzes an improved hose material. Failure to replace this hose can result in a fuel leak and possible contingent damage. You will not be charged for the service performed.
Contact your local Caterpillar dealer immediately to schedule this service. The dealer will advise you of the time required to complete this service.
Please refer the dealer to their Service Letter dated 28Aug2006 when scheduling this service.

Rework Procedure
Remove and discard P-clip and 184-3232 hose from fuel filter and fuel manifold. Install new 295-7891 hose, adjust 90 degree fitting on fuel filter as required to ensure adequate clearance between valve cover and 295-7891 hose. Tighten fitting to 65 +/- 7 Nm.
