Properly chocked trailer wheels
Chock the trailer wheels or the rail car wheels before you load the machine.
After the machine is positioned, connect the steering frame lock in order to hold the front frame and the rear frame in place.
Lower the bucket or the work tool to the floor of the transport vehicle. Move the transmission control to the NEUTRAL position.
Engage the parking brake.
Turn the engine start switch to the OFF position. Remove the engine start switch key.
Move all of the control levers in order to relieve any trapped pressure.
Turn the battery disconnect switch to the OFF position. Remove the battery disconnect switch key.
Lock the door and the access covers. Attach any vandalism protection.
Secure the machine, any equipment, and any tools with adequate tie-downs in order to prevent movement during shipping.
Cover the exhaust opening. The turbocharger (if equipped) should not rotate when the engine is not operating. Damage to the turbocharger can result.
