Shear Capacity
The following table provides an overview of the profiles of steel that can be cut by the shear jaws. The profiles are made of Fe360 (ASTM 283C) steel.The dimensions of the profiles are the maximum dimension that can be safely cut. Consult your Verachtert dealer before you cut materials that are larger than the dimensions in the table.Note: The shear is meant for processing ferrous metals. Harder material or softer material can cause excessive wear to the work tool. Harder material or softer material can also cause damage to the work tool. Consult your Verachtert dealer before you cut steel that has a rating that is higher than Fe510 (ASTM A572Gr50).
