The front axle is equipped with universal joints (8) to transmit power from the differential to final drive (1) .The disc brake system on the steering axle and the rigid axle is activated by pushing down the service brake pedal. If the parking brake is activated and the service brake pedal is locked the parking brake is temporarily turned off. The parking brake will reactivate when the service brake pedal is released. If the parking brake is deactivated and the service brake pedal is locked, the parking brake will remain deactivated when the service brake pedal is released. If the parking brake is requested by the operator and the service brake pedal is locked, the parking brake will be activated when the service brake pedal is released. The disc brakes on the two axles are released when the pressure in oil passage (4) decreases.The disc brakes are located in the planetary carrier that is on the ends of the steering axle and the rigid axle.The planetary carrier is driven by shaft (6) that is joined to the gear and the shaft is inserted into the plate carrier.The front axle has a multiple disc brake that is integral with final drive (1). Torque is transmitted from the drive shafts to the differential and the planetary carriers that are located in final drive (1). The multiple disc brake includes friction plates and lining plates.When the brake pedal is activated, brake pressure is applied to brake piston (2) by oil pressure in oil passage (4). This forces friction plates (7) and lining plates (7) together. When the brakes are released the piston spring returns brake piston (2) to the original position.
