Assembly Procedure
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Inspect the condition of the O-ring seals. Replace O-ring seals, if necessary.Note: Lubricate all internal parts of the engine oil pump with clean engine oil.

Install drive shaft (3) in the housing.
Raise the temperature of gear (6). Install gear (6) on the end of drive shaft (3) .
Install idler gear (7) in the housing.
Install O-ring seal (4) on housing (5) .
Install cover (2) and bolts (1) .
The pump must rotate freely by hand after assembly.
End By: Install the engine oil pump. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Oil Pump - Install".
