Input Transfer Gears
The input transfer gears are connected to the input shaft from the torque converter. The input transfer gears are mounted on the case for the output transfer gears. The input transfer gears transfer power to the transmission. The power is transferred at 1.4 times the speed of the torque converter.

(1) Yoke

(3) Port

(5) Input Shaft on the Transmission Power flow goes through yoke (1) to carrier (2). The planetary gears of carrier (2) then transfer power and increased rpm to gear (4). The internal splines of gear (4) transfers power to the splined input shaft (5) of the transmission.Port (3) provides lubrication to the internal moving parts of the input transfer gears. Lubrication oil comes from the torque converter charging section of the transmission pump which is mounted on the torque converter.
