425-6889 Cable As The 425-6889 Cable As is used to connect the nine pin service port on the Network Manager wiring harness to a laptop computer. The 425-6889 Cable As allows the user to flash software onto the Network Manager through WinFlash. The 425-6889 Cable As also allows the user to access the "Service Dashboard".Service Dashboard
The "Service Dashboard" is accessed by attaching the 425-6889 Cable As to the PL E601 harness, and a laptop. Once a connection is made, the user can use the following Steps to access the "Service Dashboard".
Open WinFlash but do not flash any software. Refer to System Operation Troubleshooting Testing and Adjusting, UENR3697, "Electronic Control Module (ECM) - Flash Program" for more information.
Once WinFlash is connected open any web browser.

The "Communication Check" is an end to end test that verifies that Product Link Web is receiving the information being transmitted by the PL640 radio. Once the "Communication Check" link is selected, the test automatically begins. The test will check end to end communication for up to 3 minutes. Once the test is complete, the user will receive a message that the test passed or failed. Refer to Illustration 7 and Illustration 8.Connection and File Transfer Log

The "Connection and File Transfer Log" records every time that the Product Link device attempts to create a connection, and every file that is transferred to the "User Interface". The log displays if the connection attempt was successful, or failed. It also displays whether each file being transferred was successful or failed.Settings

The "Settings" page allows the ability to make advanced settings changes to the PLE601 Network Manager. The "Settings" page is used to configure communication settings to alternate Communication Methods. Changing the settings on this page can create a condition where the Product Link device does not communicate and should not be changed by someone who does not understand the system settings.
