PLE601 Network Manager with the 70 pin wiring harness connector installed.The Product Link PLE601 is the Product Link Network Manager. The Network Manager is initially setup by using a laptop computer with the Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat ET) software. The PLE601 is designed for use with the PL640 radio. PLE640 is the designation for the system that uses both the PLE601 Network Manager and the PL640 cellular radio. In order to use the new Product Link features, update to the latest version of Cat ET. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS7339 for more information on installing the PLE601 Network Manager.The Product Link PLE640 provides the customer with location, SMH (Service Meter Hour), and Geo-Fence communication and configuration capabilities.The Product Link PLE640 provides the customer with the capabilities to communicate the diagnostic codes, events, and other data link information.Ensure that the PLE601 Network Manager is installed with the available isolation mounts. Isolation mounts are not required for the PL640. For more information refer to Special Instruction, REHS7339.Input/Output
PLE601 uses the Cat Datalink® and the CAN data link in order to communicate with other electronic control modules.The module identifier (MID) for the PLE601 Network Manager is the number 190. The inputs to the Product Link are listed in Table 1 for the 70 pin connector.
