1. Remove belt tightener (7) from the fan drive. See the topic, Remove Belt Tightener.2. Disconnect lubrication line (3), if equipped.3. Disconnect rod end (2) from lever assembly (5).4. Remove two bolts (4), and move bracket assembly (1) away from the fan drive.5. Fasten a hoist to fan drive (6). Remove the bolts that hold the fan drive to the front drive housing. Remove the fan drive. The weight of the fan drive is 87 kg (192 lb). The following steps are for installation of the fan drive.6. Fasten a hoist to fan drive (6). Put the fan drive in position on the front drive housing. Install the bolts that hold it.7. Put bracket assembly (1) in position on the fan drive, and install two bolts (4).8. Connect rod end (2) to lever assembly (5).9. Connect lubrication line (3) to the fan drive.10. Install belt tightener (7). Start By:a. remove fan drive 1. Remove the bolts and adapter (2) from the fan drive. Remove O-ring seal (1) from the adapter.2. Fasten a hoist to pulley (7). Remove the bolts, and remove pulley (7) from the fan drive. The weight of the pulley is 35 kg (77 lb).3. Remove two bolts (3) and washers (4).4. Remove hub (8), the bearings and spacer from bracket assembly (11) as an assembly.5. Remove bearing (5) and spacer (6) from hub (8).6. Remove seal (9) and bearing (10) from the hub.7. Remove the spacer from bracket assembly (11). Remove the O-ring seal from the spacer. The following steps are for assembly of the fan drive.8. Put the O-ring seal in position in the spacer, and install the spacer on the bracket assembly.9. Install bearing (10) in hub (8).10. Install lip-type seal (9) in hub (8). Install the seal with the spring loaded lip toward the inside of the hub.11. Put hub (8) in position on bracket assembly (11).12. Install spacer (6) and bearing (5) in the hub.13. Put washers (4) in position on the bearing, and install bolts (3).14. Fasten a hoist to pulley (7). Put the pulley in position on the fan drive, and install the bolts that hold it.15. Put O-ring seal (1) in position in adapter (2). Install the adapter on the fan drive.End By:a. install fan drive
